Gingerbread City – sweet magic in Kolejkovo
From November 20, 2024 to March 2, 2025, in Kolejkowo, in the heart of Wroclaw, you can enjoy the only such exhibition in the world – the City of Gingerbread. It’s a spectacular sweet city of more than 150 square meters made from as much as 1,600 kilograms of aromatic spicy dough. At the heart of the exhibition you will find iconic buildings such as the Wroclaw Town Hall, the gingerbread train station, the zoo, as well as Baba Yaga’s house or the mill.
The unique Christmas scent is due to the use of 200 kilograms of honey and 50 kilograms of spices, which take us back in time to the tradition of gingerbread baking. Complementing this magic are hand-modeled characters made of sugar paste, such as Snow White, Baba Yaga and Hansel and Gretel, which give the exhibition a fairy-tale feel.
Christmas Market Wroclaw – the winter capital of the holidays
Beginning November 29, 2024, the much-loved Wrocław Christmas Fair (Jarmark Bożonareniowy Wrocław) begins in Wrocław’s Market Square. It is one of the most beautiful Christmas events in Poland, full of wooden stalls, lighted Christmas trees and aromatic delicacies.
Walking around the Market Square, you can find handmade Christmas decorations, traditional foods such as mulled wine and pierogi, as well as numerous attractions for children and adults, including carousels and fairy-tale illuminations. Jarmark Wroclaw is the perfect place to feel the Christmas atmosphere, shop for a gift or just spend time with loved ones.
