Kolejkowo celebrates 10th birthday - recognition from the Mayor of Wroclaw and crowds of visitors

Crowds of guests, unique attractions and a prestigious award – this was the celebration of the 10th anniversary of Kolejkowa, the largest model railroad in Poland. The anniversary event, held on January 25 and 26 at the Sky Tower, proved that the magic of the miniature world attracts every age group.

“Meritorious for the City of Wroclaw”.

During the ceremony, Jakub Paczynski, the initiator and president of Kolejkowa, was presented with a prestigious award – the title of “Meritorious for the City of Wroclaw” by Radoslaw Michalski, Director of the City of Wroclaw Brand Department. This distinction highlights Kolejkowa’s huge contribution to the promotion of the city and its place on the map of Lower Silesia’s most important tourist attractions.

“This award is a credit to the entire Queue team and everyone who believed in our project. Thanks to you, we can continue our passion by sharing it with thousands of visitors. Thank you!” – said Jakub Paczynski during the ceremony.

Two-day festival full of attractions

The celebration of Kolejkovo’s anniversary attracted families, modeling enthusiasts and miniature enthusiasts. Saturday was full of modeling workshops, special shows and stories about the history of Kolejkovo. Sunday was a day dedicated to families – children could build miniature townhouses, search for hidden figurines in an outdoor game and take part in the “Young Railroader” striping.

The culminating moment was a festive cake in the shape of a locomotive and the finale of the miniature apartment competition. The atmosphere of family fun and sentiment was evident at every turn, and the organizers made sure there was something for every guest.

Competition for dream apartment in Kolejkovo

The anniversary event also brought one of the most original prizes in Poland – a miniature apartment. The contest, in which fans of Kolejkovo had to describe why the place was special to them, was very popular. The winner was announced on Sunday, and his creativity was rewarded with a unique microscale apartment, with the possibility of personalization.

10 years of passion and success

Kolejkowo is more than a tourist attraction. It’s a place that began with the passion of three friends, and today attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually from all over the world. In a decade of operation, the model railroad has become known as one of the biggest attractions in Lower Silesia, with more than 1.5 million visitors.

“The 10th anniversary of Kolejkowa is not only a reason to celebrate, but also an opportunity to show that this place connects generations, stirs emotions and inspires people to discover the world in miniature. There are more ambitious plans ahead that will make it even more interesting.” – added Jakub Paczynski.
