Safe to school together - results of the competition
The art contest was organized as part of the cooperation between the Prevention Department of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wroclaw and Kolejkow under the name “Safe Road to School.”
Purpose of the competition: education through art
The “Safe Road to School” contest invited children to creatively express what road safety means to them. Thanks to the artistic works, young participants had the opportunity to draw attention to important issues such as obeying traffic rules, responsible behavior and avoiding dangerous situations. Joint action with the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wroclaw gave the event an additional educational dimension, and allowed children to better understand the role of safety in everyday life.
About the competition
Participants in the contest were tasked with creating an artwork in A4 or A3 format that addresses the theme of “Safe Road to School.” The goal was to draw attention to the dangers of general safety and to emphasize the importance of correct social attitudes. Each work was to depict the rules for safe movement to and from school.
Awarded works
A total of 2,123 competition works were evaluated, of which 1,451 works were submitted in the category of grades 1-3 and 672 works in the category of grades 4-6. As a result of unanimous decisions, the Competition Committee selected the winners and honorable mentions:
Classes 1-3 category:
Place I – Nela Mazurek from Elementary School No. 1 named after Powstańców Wielkopolskich in Legnica,
Place II – Martyna Szostak of the St. Hubert Elementary School and Kindergarten Complex in Czernin,
Place III – Lilianna Anna Mencel from Primary School No. 2 in Milicz,
Honorable mention – Oliwia Wilgosz from the Young Heroes School and Kindergarten Complex in Szewce,
Honorable mention – Pola Matysik from the Henryk Sienkiewicz Elementary School No. 4 in Świdnica,
Classes 4-6 category:
Place I – Zuzanna Zalewska from the St. Hubert Elementary School and Kindergarten Complex in Czernin,
Place II – Lena Cholody from the Primary School No. 2 named after the Veterans of Gryfov Land in Gryfov Slaski,
Place III – Katarzyna Tkocz from the UNICEF Youth Sociotherapy Center in Walim,
Honorable mention – Lena Dzikowska from Elementary School No. 2 in Jelenia Góra,
Honorable mention – Zofia Piskorowska from Fr. Jan Twardowski Elementary School in Dabie.
