Standards for the Protection of Minors Queue SA.

I. Rules to ensure a safe relationship between the minor and the staff of Kolejkowa SA.

1. Secure Recruitment of Personnel
1) Before establishing an employment relationship or before allowing a person to perform activities related to education (hereinafter: “personnel”), the pursuit of other interests by minors, Queue SA (hereinafter: “Kolejkovo”) obtains information on whether the person’s data is included in the Register of Sexual Offenders with Restricted Access or the Register of Persons for whom the State Commission for
prevention of sexual exploitation of minors under 15 years of age has issued a decision on entry in the Register.
2) The person referred to in item 1 above shall submit to the Railroad information from the National Criminal Register with respect to offenses specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, in Articles 189a and 207 of the Penal Code, and in the Act of July 29, 2005 on counteracting drug abuse (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 172,of 2022, item 2600, and of 2024, item 113), or for corresponding offenses specified in foreign laws.
3) The person referred to in item 1 above, having citizenship of a country other than the Republic of Poland, shall submit to the Railway the criminal record information of the country of citizenship obtained for the purposes of professional or volunteer activities related to contact with children.
4) The person referred to in item 1 above is required to submit to Kolejkowa a statement about the country or countries in which he or she has resided in the last 20 years, other than the Republic of Poland and the country of citizenship (the model statement is attached as Appendix No. 1 to the Standards for the Protection of Minors of Kolejkowa SA ), and at the same time submit to Kolejkowa information from the criminal records of these countries obtained for the purposes of professional or volunteer activities related to contacts with children. If the law of the country referred to above does not provide for the issuance of information for the purposes of professional or volunteer activities related to contacts with children, information from the criminal records of that country shall be submitted. If the law of the country from which the above-mentioned information is to be submitted does not provide for its production or the country does not maintain a criminal record, the person referred to in item 1 above shall submit to the Railway a statement to that effect, together with a declaration that he or she has not been validly convicted in that country of criminal acts corresponding to the offenses specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, in Articles 189a and 207 of the Penal Code and in the Law of July 29, 2005. on Counteracting Drug Addiction, and that no other judgment has been issued against her/him stating that she/he has committed such prohibited acts, and that she/he is not obliged by the judgment of a court, other authorized body or the law to comply with the prohibition to occupy any or certain positions, to carry out any or certain professions or activities, related to education or the pursuit of other interests by minors, or to the care of minors (sample statement is attached as Appendix No. 2 to the Standards for the Protection of Minors of Kolejkowo SA).
5) Statements referred to in item 4 above are made under penalty of criminal liability for making a false statement. The person making the statement is obliged to include the following clause: “I am aware of the criminal liability for making a false statement”. This clause replaces the authority’s instruction on criminal liability for making a false statement.
6) The information referred to in item 1 above and subsequent items shall be recorded by the Railway in the form of a printout and attached to the employee’s personnel file or documentation on the person admitted to activities related to education or the pursuit of other interests by minors.

2 Principles of safe relationship of Queue staff with minors
1) The basic principle of all actions taken by Queue staff is to act for the benefit and in the interest of the minor. Staff shall treat the minor with respect and take into account his/her dignity and needs. It is unacceptable to use violence against a minor in any form.
2) Knowledge of and commitment to the principles are confirmed by signing an appropriate statement (sample statement is attached as Appendix No. 3 to the Standards for the Protection of Minors of Kolejkowo SA).
3) Kolejkowo staff is obliged to respect the rights of the child and human rights.
4) Queuekova staff are obliged to treat all minors equally, regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity or disability.
5) Queuekova staff are sensitized to peer violence.
6) Queuekova staff are obliged to maintain a professional relationship with minors. He is patient, relates to the minor with respect. They do not disrespect, embarrass, humiliate or insult the minor.
7) The minor has the right to privacy, the waiver of confidentiality rules must be justified each time, and the minor should be informed of such a fact as soon as possible.
8) Queueko staff may not record images of minors for private or professional purposes, unless the minor’s guardian has given written permission to do so.
9) Responsibility for minors while using the Queueko offer is borne by their guardians. Queuekova staff is not left alone with minors while performing their duties. In the case of organized groups of more than 25 people, there is a need for the presence of 2 guardians while on the Queuekova premises. In the case of workshops for individual participants, there is a necessity for a guardian to be present at the place where the classes are held.
10) Queuekova staff does not have contact with minors in the field of hygiene activities.
11) In the case of lessons/workshops requiring direct physical contact with a minor, Queuekova staff is obliged to observe special rules, norms of behavior towards minors. The staff shall avoid any other physical contact with the minor other than the necessary one.
12) In the event that it is found that a minor is being abused or has information about the abuse of a minor, the staff of the Queue is obliged to inform the Coordinator for Standards for the Protection of Minors about the situation.
13) In order to ensure an adequate level of protection, minors and their guardians are obliged to follow the rules of the Queue.

3. Prohibited behavior towards minors
In communication and contacts of Queue staff with minors it is prohibited:
1) use of aggression and physical and psychological violence against minors;
2) violation of personal integrity of minors;
3) violation of children’s rights and human rights;
4) discrimination on the basis of health, developmental and educational needs, psychophysical abilities, gender, sexual orientation, racial or ethnic origin, political views, religious beliefs and worldview;
5) violation of the law, established norms and rules of the Queuekova;
6) use of statements that violate personal dignity;
7) use of physical superiority and use of threats;
8) insulting, humiliating, disrespecting and embarrassing a minor;
9) use of vulgarities, offensive gestures, inappropriate jokes, utterance of sexual content;
10) establishing relations of a sexual nature;
11) photographing, filming minors and distributing materials depicting the image of minors without the written consent of their guardians.

II. Requirements for safe relationships between minors. Prohibited behavior.

1 Principles of safe relations between minors
1) Responsibility for minors while using the offer of the Railway Station is borne by their guardians.
2) In order to better protect themselves, minors are obliged to observe the rules and norms in force in the Railway Station and follow the instructions of the staff.
3) Minors respect the right of others to be different and maintain their identity due to: origin, nationality, religion, economic status, family characteristics, age, gender, sexual orientation, physical features, disability. They do not violate the rights of others, they do not discriminate against anyone because of any of their differences.
4) The behavior and conduct of minors towards themselves and others does not violate their dignity and personal worth. Minors are obliged to respect the rights and personal freedoms of their fellow students, their right to their own opinion, to make mistakes, to their own views, appearance and behavior – within the framework of accepted norms and values. Minors accept and respect each other.
5) Interactions between minors are characterized by their maintenance of high personal culture, i.e. the use of polite phrases, politeness, kindness, correct, vulgar-free language, control of their behavior and emotions.
6) Whatever the reason, aggression and physical, verbal or psychological violence among minors can never be accepted or excused by them. Minors do not have the right to use verbal, mental or physical aggression and violence against others.
7) Minors are obliged to oppose all manifestations of brutality, aggression, violence and vulgarity and to inform guardians or Queue staff of the situation.
8) In the case of blatant behavior that violates the rules and applicable norms, Queue staff shall immediately inform their guardian, obliged to take intervention action.

2. prohibited behavior among minors
1) use of aggression and physical and psychological violence;
2) violation of personal integrity of another person;
3) creating dangerous situations on Kolejków area;
4) unjustified, without the consent of a supervisor or trainer leaving the place where the offer of the Railway Station is being realized;
5) inappropriate behavior, incompatible with the regulations in force, e.g. touching the exhibits, destroying the exhibition, running, disturbing other persons using the offer of the Railway Station; 6) distribution and use of intoxicants. touching exhibits, destroying displays, running, disturbing other people using the offer of the Railway Station;
6) distribution and use of intoxicants;
7) inappropriate behavior in relation to peers, i.e. vulgarity, arrogance, rude behavior, forceful conflict resolution, bullying;
8) intentional destruction and disrespect for the property of others and for the property of the Railway Station.

10) failure to respond to inappropriate behavior of others;
11) photographing, filming and publicizing events involving others without their permission.

III. Requirements taking into account the situation of children with disabilities and children with special educational needs.
1. Minors with intellectual disabilities that make it difficult to communicate with the staff of the Queue remain under the constant supervision of a guardian.
2. The staff of the Queue, in contact with minors with disabilities, maintains patience, relates to them with respect.
3. The staff of the Queue listens carefully to the minor and tries to give a response adapted to his/her situation related to disability.
4.. responsibility for minors with disabilities and special educational needs while in the Queue Area is borne by their guardians.
5. Queue Area staff do not use intellectual superiority over minors with disabilities, do not embarrass or humiliate them.
6. Queue Area staff respond to any negative and aggressive behavior towards minors with disabilities by their peers.

IV. Rules for the use of electronic devices with access to the Internet and procedures for protecting children from harmful and dangerous content on the Internet and recorded in other forms.
1. Kolejkovo during selected classes and in the case of some exhibitions allows access to educational and informational content via the Internet only under the supervision of the class instructor.
2. The use of multimedia, the Internet and application programs is for informational and educational purposes only.
3. In Kolejkovo, some of the multimedia stations have additional safeguards to protect the user from accessing content other than that presented.

V. Terms of reference for the Coordinator of the Standards for the Protection of Minors to apply the standards, the rules for the preparation of such personnel to apply them, and how to document this activity.

(1) The President of the Queue shall appoint a Coordinator for the Standards for the Protection of Minors (hereinafter: “Coordinator”) responsible for:
1) monitoring the implementation of and compliance with the Standards;
2) responding to signals of violation of the Standards, in accordance with the procedure described in Section VI. VI;
3) maintaining a register of notifications and proposed amendments to the Standards;
4) reviewing and updating as needed the actual and legal provisions of the Standards.

(2) The coordinator shall inform the staff of the Queue about the Standards of Protection and the procedures for dealing with harm and acts of harm to the health, life and development of a young person. The statement of familiarization with the contents of the Standards of Protection of Minors and commitment to adhere to them, which is attached as Appendix No. 3 to the Standards of Protection of Minors. The employee’s statement referred to in the preceding sentence shall be kept in the employee’s personnel file. The statement of non-employee personnel shall be attached to the civil-legal contract.
3. At least once every two years, the Coordinator of the Standards for the Protection of Minors shall evaluate the standards to ensure their adaptation to current needs and compliance with current legislation, drawing up conclusions from the evaluation in writing.

VI. Rules and procedure for intervening in a situation of suspected abuse or having information about abuse of a minor.
1. In case of finding out about abuse or having information about abuse of a minor, the Coordinator should be immediately informed to the e-mail address – [email protected].
2. The Coordinator, in case of acquiring information about suspected abuse of a minor, makes all the findings and completes the intervention card, the model of which is attached as Appendix No. 4 toStandards for the Protection of Minors of Kolejkowo SA and then passes it to the President of Kolejkowo in order to decide on further procedure.
3.. all employees of Kolejkovo and other persons who, in connection with the performance of their duties, have taken information about child abuse or information related to it, are obliged to keep this information confidential, excluding the transfer of information to authorized institutions within the framework of intervention activities.

VII. Principles and manner of making the standards available to parents or legal or factual guardians and minors for familiarization and application.
The Standards for the Protection of Minors shall be posted on the Queueko website and displayed in conspicuous places in facilities where educational and other activities allowing minors to pursue their interests are conducted, in a complete and abbreviated version for minors, thus allowing parents or legal or factual guardians and minors to familiarize themselves with them and apply them. The abbreviated version provides easy-to-understand information on how Queue keeps minors safe and where to find advice or help, with a list of relevant helpline numbers
