Discover the City of Dakar – a unique mock-up inspired by the world’s toughest rally. Explore the sandy dunes made of real sand, visit the bustling Dakar market, take a look inside the rally camp, and experience the atmosphere of this legendary desert adventure.
Along the route, you’ll see moving vehicles, hundreds of realistic details, and miniature figures of real drivers. Thanks to the miniaturization of these rally legends, we were able to faithfully recreate their silhouettes and distinctive features, bringing them into the extraordinary world of Kolejkowo.
After dark, the desert transforms into a spectacular show. 3D projections and lighting effects bring the dunes, the rally camp, and the course to life, creating the unforgettable atmosphere of the Dakar Rally.
The City of Dakar is a unique exhibition that combines model-making craftsmanship with modern technology, allowing visitors to experience the atmosphere of one of the world’s most challenging rallies.
Behind the Scenes of the City of Dakar
Behind “Miastem Dakar” lie months of intensive work and the dedication of the Kolejkowo team. From March to June, modelers and electronics engineers worked on the exhibit, devoting approximately 5,568 hours to its creation.
The work began with the concept and designs, and then included 3D modeling, hand-crafting the model’s components, installing the lighting, and preparing the special effects. To capture the desert atmosphere as faithfully as possible, 5 metric tons of real sand were used in the construction, giving the landscape an exceptionally realistic look.
A key stage of the project was the miniaturization of the professional drivers. Thanks to this miniaturization and the precise work of the modelers, realistic miniatures of the drivers were created, faithfully depicting their appearance and distinctive details. It is precisely these details that allow the diorama to tell a story and captivate visitors with its realism.
Every detail you see on the model is the result of approximately 5,568 hours of precision and passion—because it is precisely these details that bring the world of Kolejkowo to life.
The exhibition is open from July 1 to September 13; admission is included in the ticket price:
